OUR VALUES

At A Great Idea, our values are the compass that defines, guides, and informs who we are and how we create.

These values shape our relationships, fuel our passion, and inspire us to deliver meaningful work that makes a transformative impact on our partners and our world.

Together, We Will Do Great Things

Collaboration is magic. We are committed to strong, authentic connections that engage advocacy for impact.

Good Is a Great Start

Our partners are changing the world. With every project, our work quality and experience must amplify and advance their success.

Greatness Lives in Every Body

We believe every human being has the right to thrive on their terms, in their expression, and in their humanity. We will fight for it every day.

Create with Great-itude

We recognize the honor of supporting transformative work by expressing gratitude and encouraging space to listen and grow.

A Great Idea for community.

Our empathy-led philosophy celebrates the magnificent spectrum in the LGBTQ+ community while encouraging all people to be treated with dignity and respect. As an LGBTBE (LGBT-Certified company), we are proud to support our community through both philanthropic efforts and our clients, including the Tyler Clementi Foundation, Queer|Art, Guilford Green Foundation, Voces Latinas, Triad Health Project, and Amida Care.

Freedom For Every Body
2025

Freedom For Every Body

Freedom For Every Body is our campaign to draw attention to the fight for bodily autonomy: where activists for reproductive justice, trans rights, and LGBTQ equality have common ground. As states across the country (including North Carolina) continue to challenge, reduce, or refuse rights for all citizens, join us by sharing why freedom for every body matters to you and learn ways you can take action today. Want a bumper sticker or other collateral for your event, let us know! Learn also about our Pride Is For Every Body parallel initiative to invite queer community members into this movement.

Power Beyond Pride Survey
2025

Power Beyond Pride Survey

We are proud to announce the launch of our nationwide “Power Beyond Pride” survey. This initiative invites LGBTQ+ activists and community organizers across the United States to share their experiences, challenges, and visions for the future of social justice movements. The survey aims to highlight the unique impact of LGBTQ+ identities on activism and community organizing. Responses will inform a report that explores the needs, insights, and aspirations of those driving change, offering actionable recommendations to strengthen and support their efforts.

This event provides opportunities for critical skill building at the intersection of liberation and sexuality education. A Great Idea is a proud sponsor in supporting bodily autonomy, anti-racist practices, and queer liberation.

An extension of our primary initiative Freedom For Every Body, you'll see our Pride Is For Every Body materials at events across North Carolina as we draw attention to the fight for bodily autonomy: where activists for reproductive justice, trans rights, and LGBTQ equality have common ground. As states across the country (including North Carolina) continue to challenge, reduce, or refuse rights for all citizens, join us by sharing why freedom for every body matters to you and learn ways you can take action today. 41st IAGSDC Convention: Carolina Twirl
2024

41st IAGSDC Convention: Carolina Twirl

An annual LGBTBQ+ square dance convention has been held annually since the first convention was held in Seattle, Washington, 1984. This year, we are working hard to connect to diverse queer community members in a variety of ways, particularly in North Carolina, with the aim of elevating the importance of civic engagement. This annual conference is making its first appearance in Durham, and we couldn't think of a better time to take a twirl as a sponsor with these passionate dancers and celebrate Freedom For Every Body in North Carolina and beyond!

FaithAction 2024 Gala
2024

FaithAction 2024 Gala

We believe our cities and states are stronger when they are created from a diverse network of experiences and ideas—the cornerstone of our nation, including those that make their homes with the aspiration for a better life, those relocating in response to threats in their birth countries, and those who are responding to the devastations of their previous homes. We are proud to support FaithAction's work in North Carolina and around the country especially amidst widespread xenophobia and misinformation that has amplified harms to those of immigrant and refugee experience. We are proud to be their brand communications partner, but even prior to this relationship, our owner has been a community supporter of this important program and this meaningful work.
