Communications Intern
Remote *AND/OR* On-Site Greensboro or Durham, North Carolina
Supervised by: Owner
Purpose of Position: To develop and expand communications skills by working on specific projects and supporting A Great Idea team members. This is a role that either receives a monthly stipend or school credit (documentation and proof required). This role is limited to 3 months.
Primary Tasks:
- With supervision and where applicable to skillset, contribute to addressing the flow of projects (internal and external)
- Maintains accurate, professional, and complete documentation, including tracking hours
- Attends meetings as appropriate to assist in continuity of client care and represents AGI in all settings in a professional manner
- Abides by all policies and procedures of AGI
In addition to these tasks, every AGI team member is asked to participate in brand-building and networking activities for the agency. These activities vary and are held throughout the year. Some activities (such as Pride festivals) may include evening and weekend hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-year degree from an accredited college or university in communications, 2 years completed from a 4-year college, or other related experience
- Software proficiency in Microsoft Products, Google Suite, Canva, Adobe Suite
Knowledge and Skills:
Possess the ability to work with the public in a professional manner, handle all clients and content with cultural competence and non-judgmental attitudes, develop positive relationships with clients, work with teams, use professional judgment, communicate orally and in writing in a professional manner, and work with a flexible work schedule.

Junior Studio Coordinator (Development)
Remote *AND/OR* On-Site Greensboro or Durham, North Carolina
Supervised by: Owner
Purpose of Position: Implement and execute day-to-day operational streamlining strategies for task and project requests from numerous client partners and freelancers with digital tasks (site builds, Wordpress edits, email communications, etc.) while contributing where applicable to the flow of projects (internal and external).
Primary Tasks:
- Implement and execute day-to-day operational streamlining strategies for task and project management of requests from client partners
- Light code development review and editing (preparing files, small code edits, updating and moving files, testing/verifying)
- Coordinate resource support (freelancers and creative partners) to meet requests and recurring deadlines
- Sourcing additional resources to address client requests
- Communicate with the Owner about task and project status and needed resources
- Build case studies of completed client tasks and projects for distribution
- With supervision and where applicable to skillset, contribute to addressing the flow of projects (internal and external) such as digital media scheduling, design and copywriting
- Maintains accurate, professional, and complete documentation, including tracking hours (billable and nonbillable)
- Attends meetings as appropriate to assist in continuity of client care and represents AGI in all settings in a professional manner
- Abides by all policies and procedures of AGI
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Owner that contribute to the Agency’s functioning
