A4RR Psych Rehab Site
The Alliance for Rights and Recovery

The Alliance for Rights and Recovery needed engaging copy for the updated New York Psychiatric Rehabilitation Training Academy website.
A4RR requested that A Great Idea review the website’s previous copy and rewrite it in a way that would excite and engage recovery practitioners and providers without relying on hierarchical “institutional expert” paradigms.
AGI utilized the information present in the prior website to develop new copy that excites and emboldens recovery practitioners to acquire new skills rooted in human rights, peer support, and self-determination.
AWARD RECOGNITIONS
Community First
As advocates, our team’s understanding of power systems and equity enable us to approach the copy with a community-rooted perspective that aligns with the Alliance’s emphasis on peer support. We developed copy that articulated the non-hierarchical nature of the NY Psychiatric Rehabilitation Training Academy: not classes by experts, but skill-sharing with peers in recovery.
Igniting Passions
We used action-oriented language that ignites the passions of the practitioners and community members coming to the website. Whether for professional or personal development, it is important that people come away from the Academy with action items, new skills, and a human rights-based vision for the recovery, psychiatry, and rehabilitative fields.
Sustainable Invitations
Our experience in activism means we understand that making change is about inviting people in to learn more without shame. When writing the copy for this website, we effectively struck a tone that was supportive, engaging, and encouraging by presenting the Academy as a resource intended to make practitioners’ jobs and our shared communities more equitable and sustainable.
How do you ensure the copy reflects our voice and values?
We perform in-depth discovery and research on your organization’s writing. This means we pay attention to who you’re talking to and how you’re talking to them. Whether it’s using the right point of view, using a specific grammar style, or capturing a specific tone, our expert copywriters can ensure continuity as well as strengthen your brand voice.
What is brand strategy?
Brand strategy is a long-term plan for how you want your audience to see and engage with your brand. It is the process of deciding how you show up and connect with your community and of establishing a plan for building and maintaining that brand identity over time.
Can you do Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
Yes! We integrate SEO into all copy that we write, especially website and social media copy. From keywords to hashtags, we ensure our writing is created to connect, whether you’re scrolling on the page or finding one of our partners in a search engine.
How do I choose the right brand strategy consultant for my business?
Choosing the right brand strategy consultant is an important part of shaping your brand’s image and reputation. Take time to look at a potential consultant or agency’s past work by looking at their portfolio. Then, set up an initial meeting to ask questions and determine if their brand strategy process fits your needs, values, budget, and goals.
What should I expect to pay for brand strategy consulting services?
The cost of brand strategy consulting varies depending on your specific needs, project complexity, and who you hire. Before any consultations, it’s important to define your goals and budget to ensure the scope of work matches your expectations. Small, independent consulting agencies like A Great Idea typically charge between $100 and $300+ per hour or $5,000 to $30,000 per full brand strategy project.
